Text - With research predicting that more than 3.7 trillion text messages will be sent each year by 2012, text messaging is now firmly established as one of the world's most popular forms of communication. This presents mobile network operators with a significant opportunity to introduce new services and to continue to grow traffic and revenues. But the network architecture was designed in the early days of GSM before anyone predicted the success of SMS. Networks have since evolved, and the legacy 'store and forward' SMSC-based architecture is no longer appropriate if operators are to maximise this opportunity. Telsis pioneered and developed the concept of Intelligent SMS Routing, now being adopted by leading mobile operators as the standard infrastructure for the next stage of SMS traffic and revenue growth. |
Profile |
Telsis has pioneered the concept of Intelligent SMS Routing, enabling mobile operators to significantly increase revenues from SMS. With central intelligence determining the optimum routing for every single message, Telsis Intelligent SMS Routing provides the next generation architecture to overcome the limitations of legacy store and forward systems. It improves quality of service, reduces costs and enables network traffic to grow without further investment in SMSCs. Intelligent SMS Routing also provides network operators with the flexibility to rapidly implement innovative services to address new market areas, such as Text for Business and SMS Customer Care. It has already been adopted by leading operators, including members of the T-Mobile, Vodafone, Hutchison and Warid Telecom groups. In addition, Ericsson has chosen Telsis as its global partner for SMS infrastructure. Telsis was founded in 1987 and has a well deserved reputation for delivering high-performance carrier-grade text and voice solutions that can be easily installed, maintained and supported. With its headquarters based in Fareham, UK, Telsis has sales and support operations in Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Spain, Singapore and Australia. The power and flexibility of all of our products, but particularly messaging systems such as the SMS Router, are based upon this expertise. Therefore, when required, we are able to confidently commit to supporting new signalling or messaging protocols and to ensuring successful interworking with all network elements and third-party systems. In recent years the company has focused on carrier-grade intelligent network platforms and service node components, and our designs have encompassed all aspects of system architecture in order to offer our customers non-stop service. Telsis is committed to high-performance carrier-grade solutions that can be easily installed, maintained and supported. |
