Three years of synchronised distribution

(Advertorial) Syndico’s managing director, Andrew Wilson, reflects on the company’s recent achievements, current position and future aspirations

Syndico Distribution Ltd recently celebrated its third birthday by claiming Hytera’s Distributor of the Year award for 2017; a fitting way to mark its latest milestone. It has been another year of success for Syndico, which has been bridging the gap between manufacturer and reseller since its formation in 2015 by offering “synchronised” distribution to its now Europe-wide customer base.

“There are many factors which have contributed to the great position we find ourselves in today”, explains Andrew Wilson. ““The most important thing is that through developing as a company, we’ve been able to help our dealer channel provide the modern communications technology that businesses need if they are to compete on the global stage and keep their employees safe. Our achievements to date have been exceptional, but we must ensure that our investments directly benefit our reseller partners, and we are very pleased with how we have done this so far.”

In 2017, Hytera’s board of directors voted Syndico “Global Distributor of the Year” for its dedication and support to reseller partners to help them grow their Hytera business. Following the success of Syndico’s work for Hytera in the UK, it was awarded the distribution agreement for France in March 2018.

“Syndico’s appointment ensures we now have a dedicated authorised distributor to the trade in France, giving Hytera the coverage and our reseller partners the supply choice they demand from our brand”, commented Matthew Napier, Hytera’s sales & marketing director.

“We believe being given the distribution agreement for France is a reward for our commitment and contribution to Hytera’s UK success over the past few years”, adds Wilson. “With Syndico as the authorised distributor, it’s not just good news for the French market but also for our existing UK partners, who can be assured that Syndico will grow and develop organically so we can continue with our trademark service.”

Aside from Hytera, Syndico’s reseller partners can access a full range of products from 3M Peltor, Savox, TeloSystems, Push-to-Talk International and R-LinX. “We are committed to giving our reseller partners access to the latest technology from the best manufacturers in the two-way radio industry”, Wilson explains.

“We firmly believe our product portfolio is everything a two-way radio reseller needs to not only be successful, but to satisfy the requirements of their customers. Our partners deserve the latest products and technology; we were the first to bring a push-to-talk-over-cellular platform to the market (SYMPOC), as well as being the first to offer the R-LinX alarm handler. These newer technologies are important for the market and therefore need committed and proactive distribution – this is something Syndico will always provide.”

Wilson is also delighted with the impact of Syndico’s recent operational investments. “We were the first two-way radio distributor in the UK to launch an e-Commerce platform, which has been extremely well received by our customers. We’ve improved their ordering experience while taking pressure off our busy partner solutions team, whose priority is to provide the best possible customer service. Shona Barnett, our operations director, works hard on our compliance and business efficiency, which has resulted in us achieving ISO-9001 and ISO-14001 accreditation, as well as Investors in People and Cyber Essentials certification.

“Everything we have achieved to date has happened, and everything we aspire to achieve in the future is possible, due to our synchronised and complete operation. We are very excited to be operating more within Europe with our new status in France, and we will be the first UK two-way radio distributor to exhibit at PMRExpo in November this year. We’re grateful to everyone who’s been part of our journey so far, and we’re very excited to see how the journey will continue!”
