ESN/ESMCP: Ericsson to partner with Motorola Solutions

Ericsson will support Motorola Solutions in the latter’s role as the prime contractor for Lot 2 in the delivery of the Home Office's Emergency Services Network (ESN) in the UK. Lot 2 covers the user services that will allow the UK’s emergency services to fully benefit from the Emergency Services Network (ESN), a commercial LTE network, which will be provided by EE. ESN will deliver critical voice and real time broadband data services.

Partnering with Motorola Solutions, Ericsson will will implement a multi-access core that delivers guaranteed priority access for the UK's public safety agencies. Additionally, Ericsson will support Motorola Solutions in providing a comprehensive range of operational and business support systems and services.

Ericsson, a provider of mobile broadband technology, and Motorola Solutions, a major provider of public safety communications technology, have a global partnership to deliver LTE technology to public safety. Together, they are implementing three of the largest public safety LTE networks in the world, located in Los Angeles County, California in the US and two Middle Eastern countries.
