Glasgow 2018 European Championships TETRA/DMR contract now open for tendering

A contract for the provision and management of 2,300 end user equipment (EUE) radios for use across Glasgow 2018 European Championship venues and the supply of a standalone TETRA/DMR solution for several locations is now open to tenders. It will close on 22/12/17 at 12:00

The supplier will be required to provide the EUE from a central facility, where it will be assembled, programmed (in the case of radio terminals), tested and dispatched. The EUE will be dispatched directly by the supplier to the relevant venue. The supplier will also have to perform installation and de-installation works at specified locations and provide a wide area coverage solution for road cycling events. “For proficiency and efficiency”, Glasgow City Council is seeking a single supplier to “manage the operation across all sites with appropriate services”.

Bidders must have a minimum turnover of £300,000 and be able to provide two examples delivered within the last three years that demonstrate that they have the relevant experience to deliver the services within the contract’s scope. They will also have to satisfy a number of other criteria.

More details can be found here. The buyer is using PCS-Tender to carry out the procurement process.
