Hexagon joins British APCO

Control room specialist Hexagon Safety & Infrastructure has joined BAPCO (the British Association of Public Safety Communications Officials) as a Platinum member.

According to the company, as a platinum member it will contribute to “the continuous improvement of UK public safety and the sustainable, long-term technological development of the industry.” As part of the BAPCO marketing committee meanwhile, Hexagon will also advise on events, projects and work.

Speaking of the move, Hexagon UK managing director Peter Prater said: “We are delighted to join British APCO’s efforts in furthering public safety through cutting-edge technology.

“This is a critical time for the public safety community, as the market moves in new and innovative directions. By supplying our long-standing experience in the public safety sector, we will strive to complement the fruitful British APCO community.”

BAPCO president John Anthony MBE said: “As a long-standing supporter of British APCO, we recognise the importance Hexagon places on working with the public safety community and we look forward to developing this relationship together.”
