Ericsson makes Heuveldop’s position permanent

Ericsson has officially appointed Niklas Heuveldop as its head of business in North America, a role which he has held on an interim basis since May of this year.

Heuveldop was formerly chief strategy officer, and head of technology and emerging business. According to a spokesperson, he will continue to those duties as a secondary function for the foreseeable future.

Speaking of the decision, Heuveldop - whose official title is Head of Market Area North America -, said: "This market is incredibly exciting, with leading-edge innovation and outstanding scale.

“We have successfully established unique partnerships with our customers in North America, allowing us to jointly pioneer new technologies across one of the most competitive markets in the world.”

Ericsson president and CEO Börje Ekholm said: "Niklas has maximized his energy and time to put the customer first in North America for the past few months. Together, we decided that it made the most sense for our customers and our employees to make his role there permanent.”
