LA Live receives multi-carrier 5G connectivity

BAI-owned Mobilitie has partnered with AEG to host a 5G multi-carrier wireless network spanning the entire 5m sq ft LA LIVE sports and entertainment district.

The California complex which includes the home of the LA Lakers, LA Clippers, LA Kings and the Grammy Awards, the Crypto.com Arena, will see Mobilite deploy 5G coverage that will be integrated with all major US wireless carriers.

LA Live spans 5.6m sq ft of Los Angeles and has grown to incorporate ballrooms, bars, concert theatres, restaurants, movie theatres, a 54-story hotel and headquarter buildings for AEG and Herbalife since opening in 2008. As the zone attracts more than 10 million guests annually, Mobilite said the area had seen a steady increase in data usage each year, ”facilitating the need for network innovation and increasingly robust connectivity solutions across the industry”.

The updated network will equip Crypto.com Arena and the entire LA LIVE campus with one of the most technologically advanced multi-carrier wireless networks in the world according to Mobilite.

The new 5G network will allow the duo to deliver “an unmatched fan experience through cutting-edge technology” according to AEG chief operating officer Nick Baker
