We began life in 1928 as a small-scale enterprise in Chicago run by two brothers. Our first product was a home battery eliminator enabling battery-powered radios to run on household electricity. Since then, the company has been committed to innovation in communications and electronics. We pioneered mobile communications with car and two-way radios, transmitted the first words from the moon, invented commercial handheld cellular phones and became a world leader in developing anywhere, anytime products, applications and services for public safety.
