Anite's Propsim F32 Channel Emulator now supports advanced MIMO OTA testing

Anite, a wireless equipment testing technology company, has announced that its Propsim F32 Channel Emulator supports 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) recommended advanced MIMO OTA mobile device testing using a Multi Probe Anechoic Chamber (MPAC) methodology.

The Propsim F32 test environment enables users to verify that the latest mobile devices perform as expected against multiple antenna configurations and carrier aggregation. The single unit channel emulator supports eight dual polarised antennas for MIMO OTA testing in an anechoic chamber. It can be expanded to support 16 dual polarised antennas. This is required for testing larger devices and Anite claims that this makes it a "future-proof" solution for upcoming technologies and device formats.
