Cradlepoint claims "world first" with LTE Advanced routing platform for enterprise

Cradlepoint, a company focusing on software-defined 4G LTE network solutions for enterprises, has claimed to have created the world’s first suite of LTE Advanced (LTE-A) routing platforms for branch and in-vehicle networks.

The LTE-A modems will be included in Cradlepoint’s portfolio of AER series of edge routing, ARC series of failover and Out-of-Band Management and as a second modem in the COR IBR1100 ruggedised mobile network.

The new platforms together with new firmware and Enterprise Cloud Manager (ECM) features are expected to be utilised in enterprise edge networks for retail, food and beverage, branch offices and transportation. It is also designed for in-vehicle networks such as police and emergency vehicles, public transport, mobile healthcare and commercial vehicle fleets.
