Motorola bringing new body worn video technology to major public safety comms show

Motorola Solutions has announced that it will be presenting its new Si200 high-definition body-worn video camera for the first time in Europe at BAPCO/Critical Communications Europe 2019. The show takes place next week, at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry.

The device is designed to integrate with the company’s digital evidence management system CommandCentral Vault. According to Motorola, the camera syncs with the solution, thereby “simplifying the process of tagging video, automating redaction, correlating video with incident information in police records, and maintaining chain of custody when managing evidence.”

Senior vice president and general manager, Europe, Middle East and North Africa at Motorola Solutions Iain Clarke said: “Many companies offer elements of digital evidence technology, but without integration across the workflow these point solutions can create more work for law enforcement agencies. We’ve created a unified portfolio that centralises digital evidence, records, and other multimedia content in one secure location.”
