The Motorola Solutions Evolve device

Motorola Solutions has launched Evolve, a PTT device allowing communication across LMR, broadband and Wi-Fi.

According to the company, the product provides “flexible access to instant voice communication at the push of a button, as well as productivity enhancing data applications.” It features an Android-based user interface, dedicated channel control, with a build described by Motorola as “ultra-rugged.”

Speaking of Evolve, a spokesperson for the company said: “When a critical event such as a major supply chain disruption occurs, extended teams on different networks often need to work together to get services running again. Responding teams including frontline officers, road authorities and volunteers, all need flexible access to critical information sources.”

Motorola senior vice president, Mark Schmidl, said: “Whether used for instant voice communication or to enhance workflows with smart applications, Evolve is ideal for tapping into Motorola Solutions’ broader ecosystem of technologies.

“Today’s connected workforces are grappling with increasingly complex operational and security challenges. Evolve provides a seamless and intuitive way for enterprise and public safety organisations to securely and dynamically communicate.”
