Viavi Solutions has announced an expansion of its partnership with L3Harris Technologies to provide enhanced automated test capabilities for L3’s P25 and DMR two-way radios.

The Viavi 3920B Radio Test Platform and 8800SX Digital Radio Test Set enable automated test and alignment for P25 and public safety two-way radios.

These options give end-users fast and repeatable automated testing for L3Harris Technologies’ XL Connect 95P, single-band XL-185M, multi-band XL-200M and Unity XG-100M radios allowing tests to be completed in less time and minimising service and support costs for them and for dealers.

These auto-test additions add to Viavi’s support for L3 products including the XL-200M, TM9100, TM9300, M7300, and M5300 radio families to provide what the company claims is “the industry's most comprehensive automated testing support”.

"L3Harris and VIAVI are committed to improving the quality and performance of Land Mobile Radio solutions," said Edward Latimer, director of product management radio test at VIAVI.

"The auto-test applications perform fast, repeatable, and accurate alignment and test to match the L3Harris maintenance specification and [mean they] can rest assured they will be able to communicate with their teammates and partners.”
