Zeetta Networks wins £10k prize at ENGIE’s Big Pitch

Zeetta Networks (a company focusing on network slicing) won the top prize of £10,00 and the opportunity to develop a proof of concept with ENGIE’s (an energy and services company) UK business at the latter’s Big Pitch competition, on 19 June.

Zeetta Networks’ pitch focused on customising connectivity to remove complexity in digital networks across buildings and communities.

The company’s software controller, NetOS, provides network visibility, control, and management through a single-pane-of-glass. It can be used to perform “network splicing” across any combination of network technologies (fixed, wireless and low-power IoT) to create a single virtualised network topology that can be then sliced into network slices on-demand to meet specific user or application requirements.

The award ceremony was the culmination of ENGIE UK’s Innovation Showcase event, which in turn was part of ENGIE’s annual Innovation Week programme, a global initiative by the ENGIE Group involving 130-plus activities.

Ian Teasdale – VP sales & marketing at Zeetta Networks (shown with the ENGIE Big Pitch judging panel above) said: “Zeetta Networks is delighted to win ENGIE’s Innovation ‘Big Pitch’. The competition was exceptionally strong. Zeetta’s concept of a ‘Network for Life’, the ability to deploy a network that changes and morphs through the various stages of a regeneration project, obviously resonated with the judging panel. We’re looking forward to working with ENGIE on a proof-of-concept that delivers operational savings and enables new services”
