BAPCO event celebrates 25th year

Registration has opened for the annual BAPCO Conference and Exhibition 2018, which will take place on 20th and 21st March at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry. The event - which organisers describe as the centrepiece of the UK public safety communications sector - is now in its 25th year.

As with previous years, the show is intended to bring together a wide variety of representatives from the industry, including manufacturers of the latest tech, alongside emergency services decision makers.

Speaking of the event, managing director of MA Exhibitions Ed Tranter said: “In March 2018 the public safety communications sector will converge in Coventry to source the latest equipment and systems, increase its knowledge, develop long-lasting business relationships, and generate new business opportunities.

“With the rapid evolution of communications technologies - and the constant shift of policy and challenging requirements of users - it is now more important than ever to keep ahead of the core issues. An important way of staying at the centre of the conversation is by attending the BAPCO Conference and Exhibition, which this year will be bigger and better than ever.”

Organisers state that representatives from ESMCP (Emergency Services Mobile Communications Programme) will be in attendance to give an update the Emergency Services Network, at the start of what will be a crucial year for the project. There will also be a number of content-driven, feature areas in the exhibition, including the 'technology showcase theatre', 'control room arena', 'small business group pavilion' and 'connected vehicle zone'. Entrance to the conference and exhibition is free to all BAPCO members.
